Chota Char Dham : A Religious Tour


Char Dham yatra is a religious tour in Pilgrim destinations of India. Every year a large flock of Hindu Pilgrims goes for spiritual destinations in a number of more than millions. Chota Char Dham yatra is as spiritual tour to four Hindu Pilgrim destinations in India. It remains opened during its season time.

Char Dham yatra is a toughest tour for all Hindu pilgrims. People going on Char Dham Yatra have a belief of getting close proximity of Lord and earn virtue to get heavenly abode after death. They also believe in holy bath for washing away sins during Chota Char Dham Yatra.

Destinations covered in Chota Char Dham Yatra are as:-

• Yamunotri

• Gangotri

• Kedarnath

• Badrinath

Yamunotri: Yamunotri is a destination for Holy Yamuna Ji River. People take holy bath in this place and wash away their past sins. They offer prayer to Yamuna ji and other Lordesses temple near originating and meeting place of Yamuna ji along with other three holy rivers.

Gangotri: Gangotri is a pilgrim destination related to Holy Ganga River and Lord Bhagiratha temple. After coming out form hair locks of Lord Shiva, Ganga originates from glaciers of Himalayas and coming down on earth in gangotri. Here only temple of Lord Bhagiratha is located with Goddess Ganga.

Kedarnath: Kedarnath is the temple devoted to Lord Shiva in Garwhal district of Himachal Pradesh. It is one of the toughest destinations to reach as located on high hills of Himalayan ranges and steep and rocky path. Here under the caves lingam of ice is formed which is believed as holy and sacred one.

Badrinath: This pilgrim destination is in area surrounded by mountain ranges and houses a holy kund or water reservoir. This place has holy hot water springs and people come here to witness it. They even boil anything under this water as Prasad.
